About us
We are a family church based in the village of Tittensor in Staffordshire. Our aim is to love Jesus and love people and to give everyone a chance to meet with God personally. We are friendly and informal. Everyone is welcome!
Our pastor is Felicia Goodwin, who first started the church in her home with her husband Matt in 2018, and we now meet in Tittensor Village Hall each Sunday.
What we believe
We are part of the Elim denomination, which is a flourishing, Pentecostal worldwide movement. We are one of hundreds of churches throughout the world who belong to this family of churches.
Pentecost was a feast at which God poured out his Holy Spirit, and we believe that it is possible to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to receive spiritual gifts from Him and for our characters to become characterised by the fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control.

Church life
Sundays
We meet at 11am each Sunday in Tittensor Village Hall. One week we have a church service, the following week we have a community meal (free of charge). Members of the church prepare the food, including vegetarian options; it’s always delicious and we’ve never not had enough! Both events start at 11am and we finish around 1pm.
Children
During the weeks when we have a service, we have a supervised group called Jelly Trees for children from 7-12 years old in the community room at the adjoining school. Soft mats and toys at the side of the church are available for younger children to play during the service. We are not a church that disapproves of children making noise and enjoying themselves, even during the sermon!
We have a particular love of children with special needs in our church, and hope to provide a place of welcome and respite for their families. Every other week at the start of the service, one of the mums in the church teaches us a couple of Makaton signs to aid communication with her non-verbal son who we adore!
Youth
Rock Solid is our youth group for children aged 7 years and above. It runs at the village hall from 5pm to 6:30pm each Sunday during term time. We generally have over 20 children and we play lots of fun games, along with a prayer time and opportunity for the children to share what’s going on in their lives. Attendance is free-of-charge. We also have a youth discipleship group (see below).
Meeting in the Week
Monday
Every other week during term time we meet in the evening for one hour at Tittensor First School community room to pray for the local community, issues that members of our church are experiencing, and the missionary work in India that we support. A praying church is a powerful church!
Tuesday
We have two women’s bible study groups that meet on Tuesday morning each week in church members’ houses.
Discipleship group 1
Led by Felicia at her house in the evening, this is a mixed bible study group.
Discipleship group 2
Led by Matt and hosted by church members, this is also a mixed bible study group.
Youth discipleship
Also at Felicia and Matt’s house on Tuesday evening, but led by Emma – youths to young adults meet to study the bible and share their lives.
Thursday
The first Thursday of every month, men in the church go out to enjoy a curry together.
Alpha
We love the Alpha course and have been running it for years. It’s a ten-week course on a week-day evening where we meet up to talk about faith, life and God over a delicious meal. It is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life. Contact us for more information on how to take part.
Missions
Impact Asia
New Life Family Church supports the work of Impact Asia in India, which is a network of churches involved in caring for vulnerable young people and providing practical help to disadvantaged people in the tea growing areas. We support them financially and also travel out to visit them. If you wish to sponsor a child please get in touch for more information.
